The Rasp in 2010
The Rasp and the Wine has been refashioned and retooled for 2010. Our first movement of this new era is a project entitled “Between”, a small-run publishing endeavor that features the work of four Edmonton poets: Cathy Hodgson, Michael Gravel, Kerry Mulholland, and Kelly Shepherd. The Rasp will publish four chapbooks, one for each author, and a live performance will serve as a launch for the work.
About The Rasp
The Rasp and the Wine was a reading series founded in 2005 by Michael Gravel and CT Staples. The series had a short but memorable run and featured some of Edmonton’s best poetic talents. The Rasp staged a one-off reading in 2006 entitled “Cover Version”, and the inimitable Patrick Pilarski was brought on as associate director. The Rasp went on hiatus in 2007 and was resurrected in 2010.
